Tiscali International Network Selects Equinix To Expand European Network

Tiscali International Network (TINet), a carrier exclusively dedicated to the wholesale IP-MPLS market, and Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), a leading global provider of network-neutral datacentres and Internet exchange services, has announced that TINet has selected Equinix as a strategic partner for the expansion of the carrier’s European network initially from Equinix’s Frankfurt and Paris Internet Business Exchange (IBX®) datacentres.

TINet offers IP Transit, MPLS lines and long distance Ethernet services to major service providers in North America, Hong Kong, Singapore and across Europe. TINet has an extensive network of close to 100 IP/MPLS PoPs and prides itself on being a specialist providing exclusively wholesale services to service and content providers worldwide. It is also one of the few companies in Europe to have a "next generation Internet" network in actual production.

The partnership with Equinix follows TINet’s expansion into additional markets in Canada, the U.S. and Europe, where TINet has recently opened PoPs in Toronto and Marseille.
